BERGaktiv guided hike at the avalanche path Blons

In 1954, the largest avalanche disaster in the valley occurred. Blons was heavily affected by the avalanches. In recent years, a lot has happened in the village. Alongside many new houses with great architecture – starting from the community center and the avalanche documentation center located within it – the development of the village since the 1954 disaster is explained. You will hike on the Leusorgweg to Oberblons. An old Walser house will be visited. Over Eschtobel, the trail continues to the photovoltaic plant and back via Valentschina. The information boards along the way remind us of the avalanche disaster from back then.

Ankle-high hiking boots with a tread sole, sun protection (cream & headwear) and rain protection, snacks, a filled water bottle (not too sweet!), seat pad, first aid kit, and mobile phone. We recommend bringing, if available: camera, hiking poles, a field guide for plants/animals, and for evening/night hikes, a flashlight or headlamp.

Please bring a small snack and a drink.

The hikes take place in (almost) any weather and require prior registration.

They are exclusively guided by certified hiking guides from Vorarlberg, specifically from the Großes Walsertal and Damüls.

Access is possible by regional bus on lines L 570, L 575, and L 571, except for sunrise and sunset hikes. Timetable information: www.vmobil.at

The transport of dogs is not possible out of consideration for the group!
