New Construction of the Loischkopfbahn in Bürserberg in Summer 2025
April 9 – Groundbreaking ceremony! The wait is finally over: construction of the new Loischkopf lift in Bürserberg has begun.
The existing infrastructure, including the Einhornbahn II and the Loischkopfbahn, is being replaced by a state-of-the-art 10-seater gondola lift. This forward-looking project marks a significant step in the ongoing development of our summer and winter offerings – providing more comfort, shorter queuing times, and unforgettable mountain experiences for the whole family
The new Loischkopfbahn is an important future project for us. We see it as a great opportunity for high-quality, future-proof and, above all, year-round development of the Brandnertal region as a popular leisure and vacation destination in both, summer and winter.
The new 10-passenger gondola lift will replace the existing Einhornbahn II and Loischkopfbahn chairlifts and run from Tschengla to Loischkopf.
In addition, a new, central access point to the ski and bike area with the necessary infrastructure will be built near the valley station.

Modernization and infrastructure
With state-of-the-art 10-seater gondolas, the new lift not only offers a safe and comfortable ride, but also allows for the convenient transport of bikes, sports equipment, strollers & more. The modern infrastructure will also significantly enhance the overall quality of the ski, hiking, and biking area.
Groundbreaking Ceremony
On April 9, 2025, the time had finally come: At the groundbreaking ceremony, the Bergbahnen Brandnertal – together with the Bikepark Brandnertal, the mayors, and the major construction partners Jäger Bau, Kessler bewegt’s, and Zech Kies – marked the symbolic start of this major project. Once the snow had been cleared, the first construction work on the Tschengla could begin under brilliant sunshine and perfect conditions.
The next steps
During the construction phase in spring and summer 2025, the existing Loischkopfbahn is expected to remain in operation until the middle or end of August 2025. The Einhornbahn II will not be available during this summer season. Despite the construction work, various offers are planned for the Bikepark Brandnertal, including a bike transport service to Brand, in order to continue to offer guests a varied experience.
